1. Warranty periods by product

Muwa Baby's manufacturer's warranty periods are fixed by product category and run from the date of purchase.

  1. Baby strollers
    1 year
    Manufacturer's warranty

Covers all EN 1888 certified Muwa Baby strollers. Warranty runs from the date of original purchase and covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

  2. Baby car seats
    3 years
    Manufacturer's warranty

Covers all ECE R129 (i-Size) Muwa Baby car seats. Three years from the date of original purchase — the longest warranty in the Muwa Baby range, reflecting the safety-critical nature of child restraint systems.

  3. Toys and accessories

For toys and accessories, contact support@muwababy.com with your order number and product details and our team will advise you.

2. What is covered

Both warranty periods cover defects in materials and workmanship that occur under normal domestic use within the warranty period. Specifically:

  • Material defects — faults in the fabric, frame, structural components, or other materials that affect the product's safety, functionality, or integrity.
  • Workmanship issues — manufacturing defects that arise during production, including assembly faults, stitching failures, hardware malfunctions, or other production-related issues that impair how the product performs.
  • Functional malfunctions — faults that prevent the product from working as designed under normal conditions — for example, a fold mechanism that stops engaging correctly or a harness adjuster that fails without misuse.

If you are unsure whether a fault is covered, contact warranty@muwababy.com with photos and a description and we will assess it.

3. What is not covered

The warranty does not apply to the following:

  • Misuse, neglect, or improper handling — damage caused by using the product outside its intended purpose, subjecting it to excessive force, or failing to follow care and maintenance instructions.
  • Normal wear and tear — gradual deterioration from regular use, including minor abrasions, colour fading, or other age-related changes that do not affect function or safety.
  • Accidental damage — damage from drops, spills, extreme conditions, or other external incidents not caused by a manufacturing defect.
  • Unauthorised modifications or repairs — any alteration, repair, or modification made outside our authorised service network. Unauthorised changes may also affect product safety and void EN 1888 or ECE R129 (i-Size) certification.
  • Products from unauthorised sellers — warranty coverage applies only to products purchased directly through muwababy.com or authorised Muwa Baby stockists. Products from unauthorised sellers, second-hand channels, or unverified marketplaces are not covered.

4. How to register your warranty

Product registration is not required to make a valid warranty claim, but it is strongly recommended — it speeds up the claims process and keeps your purchase on record.

  • Register at muwababy.com/warranty-registration using your order number and product details.
  • Register as soon as possible after purchase — ideally before any issue arises.
  • Retain your original purchase receipt or order confirmation email as proof of purchase date.

5. How to make a warranty claim

Do not return products without contacting us first. All warranty claims must be assessed before a return is arranged.

  • Step 1 — Email warranty@muwababy.com with: your order number, a description of the defect, and clear photos showing the issue. The more detail you provide, the faster we can respond.
  • Step 2 — Assessment: our team will review your claim and confirm whether it falls within the warranty coverage. We respond within 24–48 hours on working days.
  • Step 3 — Return if required: if we need to inspect the product, we will provide return instructions and a reference number. Do not send items before receiving authorisation.
  • Step 4 — Resolution: once the product is received and inspected, we will arrange a replacement, repair, or refund as appropriate. You will be notified by email at each stage.

6. Resolution options

For approved claims, resolution depends on the nature of the defect and current product availability:

  • Replacement — where the same product is available, we will send a replacement unit. The replacement is covered under the standard warranty for that product type, effective from the date of replacement.
  • Repair — where the defect is isolated and the product can be repaired to the original standard, we may offer a repair as an alternative to replacement.
  • Refund or store credit — where replacement is not possible due to stock availability, we will offer a full refund to your original payment method or store credit of equivalent value.

We will always discuss the most appropriate resolution with you before proceeding.

7. Return shipping for warranty claims

  • Approved claims: Muwa Baby will cover all return shipping costs for valid warranty claims within Malaysia. We will provide return instructions including prepaid shipping details where applicable.
  • Declined claims: if a claim is assessed as outside warranty coverage, return shipping is the customer's responsibility.
  • International customers: return shipping for warranty claims is the customer's responsibility regardless of claim outcome, given the higher cost of international logistics. Contact warranty@muwababy.com before sending anything internationally.

8. Limitations of liability

Muwa Baby's liability under this warranty is limited to the replacement, repair, or refund of the defective product. We are not liable for incidental, consequential, or indirect damages arising from product use or malfunction beyond the direct value of the product purchased.

This warranty does not affect your statutory rights under Malaysian law. If you have any questions about your rights, contact our support team.

Important for car seats: always follow the installation and usage instructions in the product manual. Incorrect installation or use outside the stated guidelines may affect both safety and warranty coverage. See the car seat category page for ECE R129 (i-Size) fitting guidance.
